The Country Shop is located near Hamilton, Alabama. We have an established mail-order business and a busy warehouse but we are not open to the general public.
We wanted our more distant customers to get to know us and that's one reason we decided to go global.

What type of artwork does the CSO look for when looking for new artists?
We take great pride in what we sell, so our committee reviews everything submitted to us carefully. The crafts we are seeking need to be unusual, well-made, moderately priced, and appealing to those customers who are seeking country crafts.

What are your refund, return, and restocking policies?
If you are dissatisfied with the product you receive, please contact us so that we may help you with this situation. We are very reasonable people and want to make our customers happy.
Refunds will be given on any product not personalized, and returned to us in good condition. Refunds given on personalized items only, if a mistake is made by us.
There will be a charge of 20% of product price as a restocking fee.

How can I get refills for my Calendar for the next year?
Contact us by phone, mail or email - or complete our order request form on the Calendar page - and we'll get your refills on it's way. Calendar Refill orders for the upcoming year are only filled AFTER JULY.

Do I use first names, or last names on personalized items?

How do I make a last name PLURAL?
Most names are made plural by adding the letter "S"; for example:
The Smiths.
The exception to the rule is this:
If the name ENDS in "X", "SH", "CH", "S" or "Z", you add "ES" to form the plural of that name.
Some examples would be.
The Joneses, The Bushes, The Churches, The Metzes, The Boxes.
If you do not like the way your name looks when properly made plural you may add the word family after your name, for example:
The Jones Family, The Bailey Bunch, etc.

How do I make a first name (singular) possessive?
You make a first name possessive by adding an '"S".
For example:
Ann's Kitchen, Kay's Cubicle, Bobby's Room, Steve's Office

How are the names placed on the items?
All of the names and personalization are done by experienced Country Shop Artist. The personalization on our wooden Greeting Boards and Calendars are hand-painted with a brush using black acrylic paint.

What's the standard amount of time before an item is ready to be personalized and shipped to me?
Approximately two (2) weeks.

Can you do a certain subject matter if it's requested?
Yes! But there are a couple of stipulations.
Due to our hectic schedules during the months of September through March, we are unable to accommodate any custom orders. However, if a special order can be created for you during the months of April through August, we will be happy to fill your custom request.
Please note: There is a design charge which will depend upon the artwork and the item to be decorated.
